For over 30 years, Five Star Pizza has been passionate about serving southern Michigan the best pizza possible. Owners, Carl and Annette Thornton take pride in their business and their process, to ensure customers receive an exceptional product every time. With locations in Bronson, Colon, Homer, Union City, and Coldwater, you are sure to only be miles away from your new favorite pizzeria.
           
    Every step of the process is completed by hand to ensure the perfect pizza. It begins with dough made from scratch daily. The dough must also go through a time-tested process to allow the dough to properly rise, creating the perfect crust. Each traditional pizza is topped with sauce made from scratch inhouse and includes a secret blend of spices. In addition to made from scratch dough and sauce, cheese is grated inhouse as well as deli meat sliced, and fresh vegetables hand chopped to ensure the customer receives the freshest, quality product possible. Nothing about the process is mass produced. Salads of all types, nachos, mozzarella bread sticks, cinnamon sticks, flavorful wings, and dessert pizzas are other menu favorites.
 
    Five Star’s one and only Gramma Nettie showcases signature cheesecakes at the pizzerias as well. However, with a 7-day notice, Gramma Nettie will make custom orders to be picked up at any location. From Reese's Peanut Butter Cup and Butter Pecan to Lucky Charm and German Chocolate, every cheesecake has one consistent ingredient. Every cheesecake is undeniably made with love.

    The Colon location, in the heart of the Magic Capital of the World, features a “secret room” hidden behind a large bookcase. Kids and adults alike love to search for the hidden way to open the room. The room is perfect for birthday parties and special events; customers can also add a magic show to their event! The Colon location is a museum to magic, floor to ceiling with photographs, posters, and magic memorabilia!

    In addition, Carl and Annette Thornton created the Five Star Pizza Adoption Fund through United Way in 2013. To date they have raised over $30,000.00 and assisted with 18 adoptions/guardianships. They hope to help with many more adoptions as the years go by. The primary goal is to help people/families who would like to adopt but are discouraged by all the unforeseen financial burdens. Most importantly, they hope to promote and increase the number of children adopted by good, loving parents.
