The Branch County Association of REALTORS® has been Branch County’s “Voice for Real Estate” since 1958.
BCAR’s mission is to protect and uphold the REALTOR® profession, provide its members with value for their dollars, deliver convenient real estate information, services and programs so members can be successful while creating trust and loyalty between clients, members and the BCAR.
BCAR members are incredibly involved in the community. Members serve as County Commissioners, directors on local school boards, humane society/animal rescue volunteers, Chamber of Commerce board members, county development committee members, food pantry volunteers, board members of veteran organizations and more.
BCAR members are active in local politics. BCAR recently hosted a virtual Candidate Meet & Greet with the candidates running for Branch County Treasurer, Sheriff and Prosecutor in the August 2020 primary election which was streamed live on its Facebook page.
BCAR members are notoriously generous.
In January members donated 88 shoes/boots and over $200 to Altrusa’s International of Branch County’s Happy Feet program.
When COVID-19 came along and the Executive Order forced Realtors® to sit idle for many weeks without pay and not even sure when they would be permitted to return to work, BCAR members did what they do best – found a way to help their neighbors.
BCAR hosted a virtual Food Drive which raised over $5,000 and 600 pounds of food which was distributed to Branch County food pantries in Quincy, Union City, Bronson and Coldwater.
BCAR also donated 20 cases of bottled water to the workers at Lakeland Correctional Facility. In June, the Cliffie Bowers Memorial Scholarship awarded 10, $500 scholarships to Branch County high school graduates.
BCAR’s annual Christmas party includes a live and silent auction with proceeds distributed to area charities. Recent recipients include: Coach Eby Youth and Family Center, Branch Area Rescue Coalition, Erin's Angels, Backpack Buddies, Branch County Foster Closet, Cliffie Bowers Memorial Scholarship Fund, Quincy School's Lunch Assistance Bird Feeder Program, and Bronson Community School's Yes to Bronson Schools Fund.
BCAR is highly respected in the community. The Branch County Association of REALTORS® was awarded Outstanding Community Program by the Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce in 2017.
