New Business: Prosper Financial Coaching

If you haven't heard, there is a new business in town, Prosper Financial Coaching. Jordan Oiler, owner of Prosper Financial Coaching, had a goal and she succeeded that and more. Below is her story.

"December 20, 2019. The day we became debt free.

We were up to our eyeballs in student loan debt. We both have Masters degrees, and we were both stupid and borrowed more than we needed to so we had some extra to “live on.” We had 2 car loans, and one credit card.

It was December of 2016 when my husband, Joe, and I had our “I’VE HAD IT!” moment. We were sitting at our kitchen counter making a list of all the things we needed for submitting our upcoming tax return. We realized we had paid over $10,000 that year in student loan INTEREST. Just INTEREST!! After we both picked our jaws up off the floor, Joe had the nerve to say “just so you know, I want us to pay for our kids’ college.”

I told him he was nuts. We would still be paying on our loans by the time our kids went to college so......NO. He was insistent so I found a plan for us to try so we could get our finances in shape. So January 1, 2017 we started our plan.

Fast forward 35 months and 20 days, and we had paid off:

$150,000 in student loans

$20,000 in auto loans

$2,000 on a credit card

This is why I am so passionate about helping others turn their finances around.  I thought we would be 50 before our student loans were gone. We didn’t have much banked for retirement. We didn’t budget.

You can completely change your future and I can show you how. It’s worked for us, and it will for you, too."

If you are in a financial rut, and need some guidance, Jordan is the person to get in contact with! With her as your financial coach, you will learn to:
Budget, Pay off debt, build and emergency fund, and so much more! Below is the link to her website:
