W Bound I-10 Construction Work This Weekend

You have probably noticed that work is continuing this week on westbound I-10.  Weather permitting, we should have this buttoned up in just a couple more weeks.  Here is the latest list of restrictions in your area – note they begin TONIGHT.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Westbound I-10 will be narrowed to one lane between Watson Road and State Route 85 from 9 p.m. tonight (Oct. 12) to 5 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 13. All westbound on- and off-ramps will remain open.

The eastbound I-10 on- and off-ramps at Watson Road will be closed from 9 p.m. tonight (Oct. 12) to 12:00 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 13. Signage will be in place to guide drivers through these detour routes:

·         On-ramp detour:  Use westbound Yuma Road to northbound Verrado Way to access eastbound I-10.

·         Off-ramp detour:  Exit at Verrado Way southbound to westbound Yuma Road to Watson Road.

Westbound I-10 will be narrowed to one lane between Verrado Way and Miller Road from 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, to 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 17. NOTE: The left-hand lane reduction will occur in two-mile increments beginning with I-10 from Verrado Way to Watson Road overnight Friday through Saturday night, followed by I-10 between Watson and Miller roads from Saturday night to Monday morning. Please proceed through the work zone with caution and obey posted speed limits.
