Buckeye Union High School has partnered with Vocational Rehabilitation to offer a Transition School to Work class (TSW) for students with disabilities that have shown they have the desire and motivation to work upon graduating from high school. The goal of TSW is to help students be more prepared for employment and help them build their skills for a job/career path that they would like to pursue.
We are looking for guest speakers from a variety of career fields to talk to our students about the expectations in the work force, as well as the educational requirements for specific career paths. We also are looking for work sites to tour/job shadow for the students to have a firsthand look at the daily operations at job locations. We are hoping that the Chamber of Commerce is able to assist us in some way. We would like to attend a Tuesday morning community connection meeting at the Chamber in the near future.
