BUCKEYE VALLEY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Death of Richard Mladick

It is with a great deal of sadness that we must write this letter informing you of the death of one of our beloved Chamber Members, Richard Mladick of Hidden Lake in Buckeye, AZ

Mr. Mladick was shot and killed by a senseless act . The person has confessed to the shooting and is in custody awaiting his fate. Richard and his wife, Jennifer have built an amazing business and all they wanted to do was to make their city (Buckeye, AZ) better and watch people prosper and grow. We have lost a good man, a father, husband, visionary, and a dreamer.

Jennifer and children, we want you to know that Richard’s passing has deeply affected us all here at the Buckeye Valley Chamber. We have lost someone very special.

Our thoughts and well-wishes go out to his family and friends.

Sincerely,

Your Chamber of Commerce

City Update

Even though Governor Ducey's Executive Order allows public pools and gyms to reopen today, Buckeye is keeping our Aquatics Center, Recreation and Senior center and both libraries closed until further notice.

This will protect the health and safety of our residents by following the federal guidelines of the Phase One Recovery that encourages physical distancing and limiting groups of people to no more than 10.

The city’s Community Services Department is currently developing a plan to safely open and operate its pool and summer programs later this summer, while following federal guidelines.
