Just the Facts-National Poll Worker Recruitment Day

Updates from the Maricopa County Elections Department about elections operations in the country's second largest voting jurisdiction.
January 25, 2022
On National Poll Worker Recruitment Day, we want to thank the thousands of poll workers who support Maricopa County voters' right to vote.
Poll Workers are our neighbors.  They live in our community.  they come from all different backgrounds and political party affiliations.  What they all have in common, is that they are dedicated to supporting elections.
Thank you to all of these committed election workers!
GET INVOLVED
Established by the U.S. Election Assistance Commission, National Poll Worker Recruitment Day is a day of action with the goal of encouraging potential poll workers to sign up to Help America Vote.
If you're interested in joining the ranks of these critical pillars of elections, let us know.  We will be recruiting around 2,700 election workers for the August Primary and November General election this year.
- There are many different poll worker jobs.  From team leaders to our technically savvy troubleshooters, these workers come from across Maricopa County.
-Pay starts at $12.80 and varies depending on the job.
-Poll workers must be registered to vote in Maricopa County.
-Being a poll worker is no longer just an Election Day job.  We will have voting locations open for 27 days, two weeks, two days, and Election Day.
Let us know if you're interested.
Have a facility?
We are also looking for facilities to serve as voting locations in the August Primary and November General elections this year.  Sites need to be 16,000 square feet or larger and have AC and access to a restroom.  If you want to give back to your community, let us know if you have space available.  Email us at pollplace@risc.maricopa.gov.
