Survey: Help Our Chamber Make Plans

The Lake Almanor Area Chamber of Commerce has undergone many changes this past year as we have added Directors, created new community services such as TOWN Talks and Welcome Baskets and begun to upgrade existing services and events such as the Community Calendar, Visitor Website, Trade Show Events, 4th of July Parade, Fireworks and Turkey Trot. Our next step is to plan for the future.  We will have a series of planning meetings during January and February to do just that and would greatly appreciate your feed back on a few questions to assist us in this planning.

If you have not already, please take a few minutes and complete this very quick survey to assist us in this process.  Your responses will be greatly appreciated. We will publish results in our next Newsletter. Thank you in advance for helping us.  The link to the survey is below.

Survivors of the Camp Fire Find New Beginnings in the Basin

(As Seen in the Chester Progressive 1/9/19)

Survivors of the Camp Fire are finding a new beginning in the Lake Almanor Basin, and our community has stepped up to help them make the transition.

There probably isn’t an individual in our community that hasn’t met someone affected by the fire that raged through Paradise, Concow and Magalia. The outpouring of individual and organizational assistance for those who have chosen to make the Lake Almanor Basin their new home has been tremendous. Real Estate companies are reporting new home sales and rentals in the Chester, Lake Almanor, Clear Creek and Westwood areas to those who have lost everything and are starting anew.

Though insurance money has assisted some in their transition to our area, it often takes all
