Halloween Triva

Scarecrow Trivia

Scarecrows are installed in fields to scare away crows and other birds from eating seeds . Crows and animals eat the seeds and make seeds hollow and they become lighter and does not grow proper.

Birds are not really afraid of scarecrows, they are afraid of humans normally and that's why scarecrows are made to mimic humans. If you don't keep changing their placement and persona the birds tend to overcome their fear.

American Pickers is Looking in our Backyard!

Maggie Kissinger Casting Associate

American Pickers is coming back to California in December and we're once again looking for leads throughout the state, specifically interesting characters with interesting items and lots of them!  The way we find people and collections for our show is through spreading the word far and wide so that people know we’re coming to town!

Please keep in mind, we are looking for different, unusual, and unique items too – something we’ve never seen before and with an interesting story!

Reach out to us on our phone number 1-855-OLD-RUST (653-7878), or our email, which is AmericanPickers@cineflix.com.

Halloween and Holiday Guidance from Plumas County Health

Zachary Gately

In regards to masks, do not use a costume mask as a substitute for a cloth mask unless it is made of two or more layers of breathable fabric that covers your mouth and nose and doesn’t leave gaps around your face. Do not wear a costume mask over a cloth mask because it can be dangerous if the costume mask makes it hard to breathe. Instead, consider using a Halloween-themed cloth mask. More info can be found in the below links to CDC and CDPH in their Halloween guidance.

Thanks for doing your part to keep our county safe! I have linked the relevant guidance below as a quick reference for your convenience.
