Seneca Healthcare District Press Release

Lyndsey Theobald, PIO

On November 2, 2020, a Seneca Healthcare District (SHD) employee tested positive for COVID-19. This individual is symptomatic and is quarantining at home. Contact tracing for this individual is underway by Plumas County Public Health Agency (PCPHA). If you are not contacted by PCPHA, then you were not identified as having been in close contact with this person.

We share this information to keep the community informed but also to share that at this time we will be implementing a no visitor policy into the hospital. This is in an abundance of caution to continue to keep our patients, residents and employees safe.

We also want to assure you that we are open for your healthcare needs should you need our services. Please call your primary care provider to schedule an appointment or utilize our Walk-in Clinic. For after hours and emergent needs, our Emergency Department is open. All doors remain locked to ensure we are able to screen every individual prior to entering the facility.

If you feel that you or anyone in your household has been exposed to a positive COVID-19 case within the last 7-14 days, SHD will be holding an Exposure Mass Testing Clinic tomorrow from 10am – 12pm.
