Position Mission

The mission of the Home Purchase Advisor is to prepare potential homeowners to make informed decisions in purchasing a home. The HPA uses independent judgment in counseling and coaching English and Spanish speaking customers. HPA's reviews customer's credit and budget issues and make recommendations and guide customers through formulating a plan to become qualified to purchase a home.

Essential Functions:

The Home Purchase Advisor is responsible for carrying out the following duties:
Establish relationship with potential homeowners.
Review and analyze customers financial situations and create plan of action for potential homeownership.
Manage caseload of home buying customers; coaches participants by assisting them in establishing action and budget plans to promote continual progress in the home buying process.
Provide post purchase counseling on a limited basis to Homewise, Inc. customer base to identify and resolve budget/credit problems to avoid delinquency or become current on payments.
Work closely with other internal departments including but not limited to Real Estate Sales and Lending to ensure best practices in service provided to customers.
Use the Homewise, Inc. HATS database system to track client progress and Desktop Underwriter and other electronic tools to provide the best service to customers.
Comply with all applicable regulations, policies and procedures.
Assist as needed with financial education classes for potential homeowners. Includes preparation, presentation and follow up after classes.

Expected Outcomes:

Timely follow up with all inquiries to ensure Homewise maintains a sufficient pipeline of home buyers.
Follow up with Home buying customers at least every 30 to 60 days.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required
College degree preferred
