Salazar Funeral Homes & Crematory is looking for a Transfer Care/Funeral Service Associate in Albuquerque, New Mexico to join their family. There are two locations within six miles of each other with the crematory situated in one of the locations. We are seeking people who have the passion for helping people, a heart of compassion and hospitality, dignity for the deceased and dedication to exceptional funeral service. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a premier level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities and essential transfer care associate functions include, but are not limited to:

Maintains and demonstrates of a HIGH standard of professionalism at all times including their physical appearance with a formal business suit and grooming.
Transfers the deceased from nursing homes, coroner offices, hospitals, or residences to the funeral home.
Uses an address to find a location.
Navigates local roads and highways in medium/heavy traffic and in the dark.
Receives instructions for multiple tasks, determines the ideal order for the tasks, and completes them promptly.
Must be willing to work nighttime, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.
Must be willing to work at funerals, evening services and graveside services.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Compassion and kindness
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (will be verified prior to employment)
Attention to detail a MUST
Reliable transportation on short notice
Ability to use proper lifting techniques in lifting/carrying more than 100 lbs
Ability to work an on-call shift, no regular hours including nights and weekends only as needed
Ability to follow instructions, whether it be in person or by phone
Effective communication skills
Maintains composure in difficult situations
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to remain drug or alcohol free for the duration of shift (random drug/alcohol testing performed continuously)
