EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Exempt, Regular, Full-Time, Salary, Statewide Travel

POSITION SUMMARY:

The beWellnm Native American Community Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for conducting sales and outreach and education activities. The primary role of the Outreach Coordinator will be to book health insurance and/or healthcare presentations, events, or meetings for businesses, employees, health insurance brokers and agents, and others in the Native American communities across New Mexico.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Making phone calls and sending emails to business leaders, health insurance agents and brokers, and others to secure their assistance in either distributing educational materials or working with agents to book speaking and education events.
• Assisting with and executing the closing of partnerships with potential Native American organizations.
• Using CRM's and tracking mechanisms for outgoing calls and event scheduling activities
• Working with the program director to coordinate marketing materials for delivery to groups.
• Providing event support by delivering and distributing materials, collecting sign-in sheets and conducting outreach and education/sales meetings.
• Presenting to small groups throughout New Mexico’s Native communities about healthcare and health insurance enrollment.
• Travel throughout the State will be required and some overnight stays are likely.
• Data entry.


REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Experience in marketing, events and sales.
• Ability to work nights and weekends for events and promotions.
• Must have a valid New Mexico driver’s license, insurance, clean driving record, reliable
automobile transportation and willing to drive anywhere needed within New Mexico –
automobile must have sufficient room to carry at least three boxes of marketing materials.
• Basic level of knowledge about health insurance and healthcare.
• Ability to develop strategic, proactive relationships with potential Native organization partners as well as insurance agents and brokers.
• Strong familiarity with the New Mexico geography and Native communities.
• Strong written and oral communication.
• Should be a proactive self – starter with the ability to work independently. Must have a strong ability to set priorities, solve problems and be resourceful under pressure.
• Ability to stay on task for long phone programs.
• Strong attention to detail for booking and scheduling items, performing follow-up tasks and organizing event and marketing materials.
• Must be able to take camera-phone shots of quality and create Twitter and Facebook posts from events.
• Must be knowledgeable on Facebook Live and Zoom meetings management.

• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Knowledge of business research, sales, marketing and customer service.
• Ability to work in Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel as well as the ability to learn other online programs.
