PURPOSE:
The Donor Groups Manager is a highly organized, self-directed, strategic thinker that effectively sets priorities and solves problems while developing cooperative, productive relationships with UWCNM’s Donor Groups. Done by providing strategic oversight and guidance to lead those within each group’s membership portfolio and ensuring the mission of UWCNM is reflected in the groups’ activities.
Serve as the staff manager for UWCNM’s Women United (WU), Young Leaders Society (YLS), Hispano Philanthropic Society (HPS), and Guys Give (GG), developing and implementing strategies to deepen their engagement with UWCNM. Communicate clearly, regularly and effectively with Donor Group councils, and with the entire body of members, as feasible, to build coordination, teamwork, enthusiasm and a sense of common purpose.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Create/update and manage the business plans for each Donor Group, thereby guiding the work and establishing the function of each group
Manage Donor Group budgets to include events, projects, and other costs associated with Donor Group management
Lead in efforts to achieve measurable goals designed to expand and deepen membership engagement
Develop, test, promote and periodically refresh value-added WU, YLS, HPS, and GG membership portfolios
Collaborate with other Corporate Relations staff in acquiring new members in and out of the workplace
Prepare data-based reports on each of the Donor Groups to measure progress and drive future success and develop suggestions to further the effectiveness of the Donor Group activities and strategies
Recruit, train and manage volunteers for the respective groups
Coordinate or lead, when appropriate, creation of accurate and branded collateral for Donor Groups
Coordinate, lead, and attend regular council meetings, committee meetings, and donor group events
Work collaboratively with Marketing, Impact and Corporate Relations staff to ensure compelling mission-aligned event programming
Work with impact department staff to develop, define, and implement collaboration among the Donor Groups with funded partners and community programs
Work collaboratively with Corporate Relations staff to create and hold strategic, data-driven, branded, mission-focused events that are well attended
Work with Events Manager in planning and executing Donor Group events; conduct pre- and post-event evaluations.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:
Work with Corporate Relations team to set and reach fundraising goals for each Donor Group.
Collaborate with the Corporate Relations team and Marketing/Communications to conceive and produce collateral for the annual fundraising campaign as assigned.
Assist with both internal and external UWCNM communication tasks as assigned.
Serve as a Corporate Relations representative on internal project teams as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS [EDUCATION]:
Bachelor’s degree (Communications, Public Relations, Resource Development) required OR an equivalent combination of education and at least four years of project management experience.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS [EXPERIENCE]:
Three years of project management experience required
Previous experience managing and training volunteer teams required
Microsoft suite experience
Nonprofit experience preferred
Fundraising experience preferred
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment, managing multiple priorities and projects, and meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to create and deliver compelling presentations
Ability to facilitate groups, work with volunteers, and build and maintain relationships with diverse constituents
Proficiency with technology and MS Office including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
Willing to work flexible schedule, including some early mornings, evenings and weekends, to attend UWCNM and community/corporate events
Possession of a valid New Mexico driver’s license and daily access to a dependable motor vehicle due to extensive amount of driving required (mileage is reimbursed)
STARTING SALARY:
$45,000 - $55,000 annually (FTE)

Standard office environment, position is primarily an office setting, requiring long periods of sitting at a desk and computer.
