A UEI MBIC Instructor delivers educational instruction, helping students develop the technical and soft skills needed for careers in medical billing and insurance coding. Responsibilities include preparing curriculum, planning assignments, evaluating student progress, and providing guidance to support student success and secure their employment in the field. Candidates generally need industry experience, but teaching experience may not be required, as UEI provides training.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver Instruction:

Provide high-quality instruction to students on medical billing and coding processes, including coding standards, compliance regulations, and best practices.

Curriculum and Assessment:
Develop course materials, plan assignments, and grade tests to evaluate student understanding and progress.

Student Support:
. Guide students through their educational journey, helping them achieve their goals and preparing them for real-world scenarios and job opportunities.

Skill Development:
Focus on both the technical and \"soft\" skills necessary for success in the field, such as communication, problem-solving, and handling administrative tasks.

Typical Qualifications

Industry Experience:
Requires 36 months of combined related industry experience in medical billing and insurance coding.

CPR Certification:
A CPR certificate is necessary to teach a CPR course.

Licensure/Certification:
A relevant state-required license or certification is needed for teaching positions.

No Teaching Experience Needed:
Teaching experience is not always a prerequisite, as UEI often provides training for the position.
