About California Heritage Mills
California Heritage Mills
The story of California Heritage Mills is deeply intertwined with the history of California itself. Our roots trace back to the arrival of our ancestors from Europe and Asia, who joined Native Americans who had inhabited this land for millennia. These pioneering families established their homes and farms in the fertile Sacramento Valley, where the combination of Sierra snowmelt and rich soil produces some of the finest medium and short-grain rice in the world. Today, descendants from twelve of these original families have come together, pooling their resources and knowledge to create the most advanced milling and packaging facility in California. This collaboration ensures that the highest quality rice reaches tables around the globe, reflecting our dedication to excellence and our deep appreciation for the legacy of our forefathers.
California Heritage Mills is founded and owned by families who have cultivated the Sacramento Valley for generations. Our commitment to the land and to our heritage drives us to maintain the highest standards in rice production. We invite you to explore our history through photographs depicting our ancestors' farming operations over the years. Additionally, our video presentation features our founders and shareholders sharing their histories, profound connections to the land, and aspirations for future generations. Through these stories, we aim to honor our past while looking forward to continuing our legacy of producing exceptional rice.
