Welcome to the American Lung Association, a cornerstone of lung health advocacy and education located in Chico, California. For over a century, we have been at the forefront of safeguarding respiratory wellness and combating lung diseases. Established 120 years ago by a passionate cadre of volunteers, our organization originally focused on the eradication of tuberculosis, a prevalent threat at the time. Today, with tuberculosis largely under control in the United States, we have broadened our scope to address a spectrum of respiratory illnesses, tirelessly working to enhance lung health and prevent disease.
Through the unwavering support of our donors, the dedication of our volunteers, and the commitment of our staff, the American Lung Association has become the nation's most relied-upon authority on lung health.
