About Bryon Riesch Paralysis Foundation
Bryon Riesch Paralysis Foundation
Located in Waukesha, Wisconsin, the Bryon Riesch Paralysis Foundation (BRPF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing medical research aimed at curing paralysis and supporting individuals affected by neurological disorders.
The foundation was established in 2001 following a life-changing accident that left Marquette University student Bryon Riesch paralyzed from the chest down. What began as a grassroots effort by family and friends to assist Bryon during his recovery has grown into a nationally recognized foundation committed to helping others facing similar challenges.
To date, BRPF has raised over $6 million to support cutting-edge research in spinal cord injury treatment, including stem cell therapy, axonal regeneration, and rehabilitative technologies. By funding some of today’s most promising scientific initiatives, the foundation plays a vital role in accelerating progress toward a cure.
With spinal cord injuries costing billions annually and research funding still limited, BRPF’s mission remains urgent. Community support through donations, fundraising events, and volunteer efforts is essential in driving meaningful change and offering hope to those living with paralysis.
