About Us
Bear Creek Archeology is a rural Iowa-based firm. Originally the Highland Cultural Research Center (HCRC), BCA was established to promptly and efficiently meet the growing needs of our expanding clientele. HCRC, a partnership established in 1983 by David and Lori Stanley, specialized in prehistoric and historic archeological research and successfully completed 156 archeological investigations.
These included grant-funded research as well as those associated with the construction and maintenance of roads, bridges, parks, wastewater treatment facilities, landfills, lakes, levees, and other federal, state, county, and municipal projects.
