Dear Chamber Members,
The Deaf Smith County Chamber of Commerce is preparing for our 21
st Annual Terra Blanca Classic Golf Tournament, June 29
th and 30
th. Each year we partner with the Men’s and Women’s Golf Association to create one of the largest golf tournaments in the area. The tournament brings golfers from all over Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico every year. The Chamber of Commerce is a Non-profit 501©6. The TBC tournament is our largest fundraiser.
Each year, we reach out to our community for T-box advertising sponsorship. The advertising T-box sponsorship is $250.00. This year we will be using the T-box sponsorship funds to pay for the Hereford High School Golf Teams course fees to practice at John Pitman Golf Course. The Golf Team is the only sport at the High School that must pay to practice. The HHS Athletic Department pays approximately $3,600.00 for the students to practice each season. This cuts into the budget for our High School Golf Team to travel, buy new equipment and eat when on the road. We want to make sure our High School Golf Team does not have to accrue this cost anymore.
