Dear DSC Chamber Members,
As we are preparing to celebrate the Thanksgiving season, I would like to thank each member for your support and contributions to the Deaf Smith County Chamber of Commerce. When I became the Chamber Director, in 2022, we sat at 253 members. We have steadily grown, at least, 2 members per month since then. We currently stand at 317 members. Though change can appear to be slow, Hereford is growing, and we are a blessed community.
For the Chamber and others, 2024 has been a challenging year. For those of you who don’t know, my administrative assistant, Hilda Valdez, is no longer with the Chamber. She served 13 years with the Chamber, and she is greatly missed. We wish her the very best in this new chapter of her life.
Starting January of 2025, all Chamber dues are due in January. There will be a pro-rate of $20.00 a month for those businesses that have paid mid-year 2024 and for businesses that join during the year. There will be a 90-day window for payment with a 60-day reminder letter. After the 90 days the Chamber will remove unpaid businesses from the Chamber Member list and website. You are always welcome to come back at a later time. We know things happen and membership might not be in the budget for a short time.
Dues will be $250.00 a year for brick-and-mortar businesses and $125.00 a year for nonprofits, food trucks, and individuals. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, suggestions or feedback as we begin a new year together.
