About District Hot Yoga
Wonderfully located within Delands gorgeous Victoria Park neighborhoods, District Hot Yoga is a student-centric space aimed to bring the traditions of yoga therapy to our community in a purposeful and mindful manner.
We have a fantastic range of classes that complement each other and are offered in both heated and non-heated varieties; from the focus building and structured teachings of the 26+2 to the cardio-driven workout of Yoga Sculpt to the attentive and progressive practice of our Senior TherapeuticsLet us help you get started in a consistent, purposeful, and fulfilling yoga practice that will empower and challenge you through your wellness journey.
Though we provide a variety of class offerings, the heart of our classes is heated and taught in the Bishnu Ghosh and Bikram Choudhury tradition of Hatha Yoga. This lineage of Hatha Yoga utilizes asana (postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises) to strengthen the entire body from the fingertips to the toes, internal organs, and nervous systems. This practice differs from many other styles of modern yoga by its focus on the stillness within and directly following the postures. The therapeutic benefits of hot yoga bring balance and control to the body and stillness to the mind.
We are a completely inclusive and safe space for people of all ages and walks of life. Dont worry if you feel that you arent flexible enough, or if you think you cant keep up. Everyone has these thoughts and overcoming these self-judgments is all part of the practice. The most amazing part of taking your first class is realizing exactly how much you CAN do.
