We are a group of artists and patrons who have joined together for the purpose of maintaining and using the beautiful gallery situated in the historic Clinch Building on Main Street.
There are currently 28 artists and 23 patrons dedicated to keeping the gallery active.
The Main Street Artists co-operative features one member artist every month to present a show of work in the main portion of the gallery, while the other members also exhibit. This keeps the gallery interesting, always changing, and always a hub of creative energy.
In addition we regularly feature guest artists in order to showcase interesting work from outside Plumas County.
Keep updated of art and music events taking place both in the gallery and around the Quincy area with regular visits to our blog: mainstreetartists.tumblr.com.
Main Street Artists Gallery was formed in 2009 when artists and art-lovers in Plumas County, California, joined together to create a venue for presenting high quality professional art to the public and provide a location for exciting cultural events. The beautiful gallery is located in the historic Clinch Building on Main Street in Quincy. Currently about 50 artists and patrons keep the gallery active. Main Street Artists Gallery is staffed by the artists and patrons; we are friendly as well as highly knowledgeable about the artwork. Come in and see the work, meet the artists, and ask all the questions you like.
Each month the artwork of one artist from the group is highlighted in the main gallery. The remaining Gallery Artists have work on view at all times in the back of the gallery, also changing monthly. This keeps the gallery a hub of creative energy, with new work constantly coming in to the gallery making it worth a visit each month.
In a small side gallery, guest artists are featured to showcase intriguing artists from outside Plumas County.
The gallery also hosts book readings, workshops, and is available for private events.
