More than 50 percent of the employees at Good Samaritan Society – Kissimmee Village sheltered in place with our residents during Hurricane Irma. In this video, Good Samaritan Society managers express their thanks for the efforts of so many people to begin the recovery process.
Administrator Lisa Meyer says teamwork and a focus on resident comfort created a smooth transition when Good Samaritan Society – Daytona welcomed 59 displaced residents from Good Samaritan Society – Kissimmee Village. The evacuees included 19 memory care residents who required special accommodations.
There still wasn't electricity at Good Samaritan Society – Florida Lutheran in DeLand, Florida, when administrators opened their doors following Hurricane Irma on Sept. 11, 2017. Bill Boglin was among the residents of Good Samaritan Society – Kissimmee Village who moved to Florida Lutheran when their homes were flooded. Bill will stay in DeLand until his Kissimmee apartment is restored.
