Pool Bond Vote Information

Estherville Parks and Recreation has released images and information relating to the upcoming special election for the Estherville Municipal Swimming Pool Project. Please see the attached Frequently Asked Questions Sheet and pool drawing below. The City has had two evaluations of the municipal pool conducted by separate professional engineering firms, the first one in 2010 by Larkin Aquatics and the second one in 2016 by Burbach Aquatics. The report stated “The existing infrastructure (pool basin and piping) are at the end of their useful life. No investment in new features should be made relying on this old work.” Burbach Aquatics reached the same conclusion. Both reports are available on the City’s website at www.cityofestherville.org and at the Estherville Public Library. It is important to be an informed voter and know the facts. Take the time to research the project through trust-worthy sources while making your decision. Get out and vote on August 6th at the Estherville Farm Bureau Building from 7am to 8pm.
