About Us

Barthel's Farm Market began in 1947 as BAR-RO-Acres which grew into a large, commercial sweet corn farming and shipping operation. During the 1970s, the business transformed to a smaller, more retail focused farming operation including the farm stand which remains today on Route 209 outside the Village of Ellenville. Today, our 4th generation family farm grows many vegetables and fruits as well as making our own Apple Cider and baked goods.

We carry a full line of greenhouse grown plants and nursery stock -- from fruit trees and shrubs to Christmas trees and more. Most recently we have expanded our business by purchasing an ice cream stand right next door to our farm stand. There we offer locally made ice cream and more.
