About Us

81 North is a boutique Inn in Ellenville New York, 90 miles north of New York City, nestled in the Rondout Valley of Ulster County, between the Shawangunk Mountains and the Catskills
81 North offers luxury accommodations in a 1935 Historic Building.

Current Lodging at the 81 North includes: Two, 650 SF self-catering luxury suites, complete with Bedroom, Bath, Living Area w/ Queen Sleeper, Wi-Fi, Roku TV & Fireplace. Both accommodations offer a fully functioning kitchen including Oven, Cooktop, Microwave, and Refrigerator w/Ice Maker, perfect for extended stays!

In Phase 2, anticipated for the Fall of 2020, 81 North will offer a Gathering Room; w/ Fireplace, Couches, Reading Chairs, a library - great for slower days.

Phase 3 at 81 North, anticipated for the Spring/Summer of 2021, we will be adding Three - Luxury Queen Rooms w/ seating area, Wi-Fi, Roku TV, Fireplace, Bathroom/Shower, Mini-Refrigerator, and Beverage Maker. There will also be a Queen Suite with Living area, Bedroom area, Bath/Shower, Wi-Fi, Roku TV, Fireplace, Mini-Refrigerator, and Beverage Maker. These luxury rooms and suites will be ADA compliant.

The Inn has bicycles available to Guests and provides private off-street parking. The Inn also complies with the appropriate guidelines for COVID-19.

81 North is walking distance to the Ellenville Theater District, Restaurant Row, and Shopping. Area activities include Fishing, Hiking, Canoeing, Kayaking, Rock Scrambling, Hang-Gliding, Glider Rides, Rail Trails, Mountain Biking, Mountain Climbing, Ice Caves, the Gunks, a Regional Airport, the Catskills, and much more.
