Here's hoping you had a pleasant experience over the Holidays despite the current circumstances, and I trust that you are staying safe. Well it's that time of year when we get all geared up for the Super Bowl and all the parties that have become pretty customary for the big event. But this year, because of the virus, we will all be watching from home or in small groups at most. Sooo... we are putting together a Rotary Football Pool Fundraiser for our Rotarians and friends/family. The buy-in is $10 per square and the winner will receive half of the pool with the other half going to Rotary as a fundraising effort. Fellow Rotarian Maggie Hoy came up with this great idea and is spearheading the effort. The pool will consist of 100 squares and they will be numbered after all squares have been purchased.

Even though the Fair Oaks Chamber has had no events, and no gatherings we are still working hard to help your business stay connected to the community. The Chamber is holding on by a thread and we thank those who continue to support us. As much as we want to be back to normal we still must stay safe and follow the County and State guidelines. Until then we hope that you will continue to support your local chamber. The financial hardship we faced last year has put us in a position that we may not be able to do the things the chamber has done for over the past 66 years because we will not have the funds to put on such a large event. The only way we will survive this is, we need the support from our members.
Our chamber income comes from the membership from the local businesses and residents along with sponsorships supporting our chamber and events and of course our large events. We do not get funded from tax payers, or the county or any type of grants or loans. Without those three sources of income our chamber can not thrive.
