Getting back to business means getting back to networking with fellow Chamber members! At the beginning of this year, we celebrated the the grand re-opening of Pupillo's Grand Slam... a lot has changed since then (if you can believe it) and they want to share it with everyone! Check out new additions to the facility like a new patio area, plus hear from management about some exciting projects in the works including an event space, a commercial kitchen and more. Taking COVID-19 precautions, the Pupillo's Grand Slam staff will have both an indoor area and outdoor patio area reserved for us so we can adqequately socially distance.



COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS FOR
A SAFE ENVIRONMENT


- Pupillo's Grand Slam will have their small event room and patio area reserved for us. This will allow attendees to safely distance and provide an opportunity for those who wish to network in open air.
- Masks are required when entering the facility, while up moving around and/or in close proximity to others. Those who wish to do remove their masks may do so when seated at their table.
- Tables will be spaced out and at limited capacity.
- Sanitizer station set up as well as provided on each dining table.
- We know that many will be inclined to interact closely, however we would encourage you to be respectful and mindful of individuals personal space when inside the facility.
- Pupillo's Grand Slam has taken all necessary precautions to ensure their facility is a safe environment for guests.

 

Grants, Credits for Small Businesses

Ameren Missouri COVID-19 Relief
for Small Businesses, Non-Profits


Ameren Missouri has announced a $500,000 energy assistance fund for small businesses and nonprofits affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The program is open to Missouri small businesses and nonprofits with 50 or fewer employees that meet other eligibility requirements. If approved, organizations will receive a one-time $250 bill credit.

Missouri Department of Economic Development
Small Business Grant Program

The Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED) announced a new Small Business Grant Program that could provide up to $30 million for Missouri small businesses. It was designed to provide relief to small businesses and family-owned farms for reimbursement of costs of business interruption caused by required closures due to the COVID-19 public health emergency.

Organizations eligible for this grant employ 50 or fewer employees, including the owner(s). Grant amounts are initially limited to $50,000, and organizations applying must incur or have incurred costs due to COVID-19 between March 1, 2020 and November 15, 2020.

DED will begin accepting applications for this grant on July 15, 2020. The department is focused on assisting the hardest hit industries including retail trade, accommodation, food service, and health care, in addition to family-owned farms. However, this grant is not limited to these industries.

Show Me Strong Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Retooling Program


The purpose of the Show Me Strong Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Retooling Program under section 601(a) of the Social Security Act, as added by section 5001 of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (“CARES Act”) is to provide grant funding to manufacturers, nonprofit organizations, and other entities to reimburse certain costs for retooling existing facilities by purchasing necessary equipment and services to manufacture critically needed PPE for use in Missouri. This grant funding will assist entities with creating new business while contributing to the fight against the current COVID-19 public health emergency.
