The students of Stanton Elementary School are still desperately trying to reach their goal of collecting 5000 pair of shoes which will be donated to Shoeman,org (another fellow Chamber Member). The following link is to a commercial the students taped for Ellen DeGeneres for assistance in their quest for 5000 shoes. http://bit.ly/TAQYY9 How can you help: 1) To participate, gather all the shoes you don’t wear anymore and rubber band or tie them together. Bring your shoes to the February Luncheon or drop them by the Chamber Office. Any kind of shoes are accepted as long as they don’t have holes. 2) Host a shoe drive at your business. (a box will be dropped off and the shoes will be personally picked up by Jodi Clinton of Commerce Bank. On a sad note, Shoeman.org recently announced the death of their president and Director of Donor Relations, Rich Kim (some of you may have met Rich at various Chamber events).
