CHAMBERS HOST WEST VALLEY "BIZ TO BIZ" TRADE SHOW AUGUST 29th

The West Valley Chambers of Commerce (Glendale, Southwest Valley, Surprise Regional, Wickenburg and Buckeye) will host the 12th Annual “Biz to Biz” Trade Show, August 29 from 4-7pm at the Wigwam Resort.

Nearly 100 exhibitors will display their products and services at this show, which generates 300-500 attendees.  It is an especially great show for our new members, giving them great exposure for minimal cost to businesses and potential customers throughout the West Valley.

Just $150 (if reserved by August 1) gets you a six foot table and two chairs on the exhibition floor.  The Southwest Valley Chamber will be handling reservations for the event this year.  For more information or to reserve your exhibit space, contact them at 623-932-2260.  This show always sells out, so reserve your space today!

SCHOLARSHIP GOLF TOURNAMENT TO BENEFIT ASU WEST, SEPTEMBER 27TH


The Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament to benefit ASU West will be held Friday, September 27th at the Legend at Arrowhead Golf Course, 21027 N. 67th Ave. at Legend Blvd.  There will be a shotgun start at 7:30am.

The individual golf fee is $100.  A hole sponsorship is $125.  You can save by having a foursome and a hold sponsorship for $495.  If you would like to be a putting contest or hole in one sponsor, that is $1000, which includes a foursome.

There will be four closest to the pin prizes and a guaranteed winner in the putting contest plus position prizes in four flights and great drawings.

PRESIDENTIAL SEARCH COMMITTEE TO CONDUCT AUGUST INTERVIEWS

The Chamber’s search committee for a new President of the organization will begin interviewing finalists for the position in August.  Over 20 professional candidates from across the U.S. applied for the position and the committee will narrow that field to six for further consideration.  The committee expects to name a new President in September

PET CPR AND FIRST AID TRAINING, AUGUST 17TH


Now you can learn immediate care and temporary assistance that can be given to an injured or suddenly ill pet until competent veterinary care is available.  Properly applied first aid can save your pet’s life, reduce recovery time and can be the difference between temporary and lifelong disability.  In addition to basic emergency care, CPR and choking, you will learn about common illnesses and other pet problems.  This program is endorsed by the ASPCA.  Cost is $42 for Glendale residents and $50 for non residents.  The class will be held August 17th from 9am to 11am at the Foothills Recreation & Aquatics Center, 5600 W. 10TH ANNUAL "MASTERING THE PURCHASING MAZE" PROCUREMENT FAIR AND TRADE SHOW OCTOBER 10

Thunderbird School of Global Management to Host Valley Wide Event

The 10th Annual Procurement Fair and Trade Show will be hosted by the Glendale Chamber of Commerce, City of Glendale, Arizona State Credit Union, Glendale Community College, Thunderbird School of Global Management, Luke Air Force Base, the Arizona Procurement Technical Assistance Center and SCORE.  Chairman’s Circle sponsors are Humana, Wells Fargo, SRP, Wildhorse Pass, Casino Arizona, WalMart, APS and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona.

The Show will be held from 1-4pm October 10 at the Thunderbird School of Global Management Tech Events Center.

This is the largest FREE- to- attend Procurement Fair in Arizona with an average attendance of nearly 1000 government agencies and small businesses.  The event is a great opportunity to meet buyers representing federal agencies, military bases, colleges and universities, school districts, city and county government, as well as corporate buyers.

The fair features 70-80 vendors and exhibitors and also plays host to a business trade show where small businesses can exhibit and meet with each other to exchange products and services…all under one roof.

Exhibit table are first come first serve basis beginning August 15 and are $50 for government and non-profit agencies, $100 for Glendale Chamber member businesses, and $200 for non member businesses.

PHOENIX HEART 2ND ANNUAL CHARITY GOLF EVENT, SEPTEMBER 27TH


The Phoenix Heart “Bridging the Gap” 2nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament will be held Friday, September
27th, at the J.W. Marriott Desert Ridge.  Phoenix Heart will partner with Honor Flight of Arizona in their mission to send World War Two veterans back to Washington D.C. for a 3 day all inclusive trip to see their monument.

ANNUAL DOG DAYS OF SUMMER EVENT, AUGUST 3RD


Enjoy a fun filled early morning for you and your Best Furry Friend in Downtown Glendale on Saturday, August 3rd from 7am to 10am.  The event will be held in Murphy Park and the amphitheater.  Activities include demonstrations, pet massages, pet food and supply drive to benefit the Sun Valley Animal Shelter. There will be watering stations, cool pool stops and much more.
