Col. William B. Travis Division, U. S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps
Welcome to Col. William B. Travis Division, U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps, located in Central Texas. Our cadet unit typically meets one weekend per month at North Fort Cavazos, and additional training is conducted away from home during school vacation periods. Our division is committed to nurturing the potential of young individuals aged 10 through high school completion, offering two distinct programs within the Sea Cadets organization. The Navy League Cadet Corps (NLCC) caters to middle school students aged 10 to 13, providing a structured introduction to maritime services and career fields through disciplined training and uniformed participation. Meanwhile, our Naval Sea Cadet Corps (NSCC) offers an advanced program for high school students, emphasizing leadership development, academic excellence, and career readiness. Regardless of prior experience, both NLCC and NSCC participants at Col. William B. Travis Division embark on transformative journeys marked by hands-on learning, uniformed service, and exposure to the ranks and ethos of the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard.
Who can join our esteemed ranks? We welcome U.S. citizens or Permanent Legal Residents, young men and women ages 10 through high school completion, who maintain good academic standing.
