After Decade of Silence, DOL on Opinion Letter Spree

We previously reported that in 2018, the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) began issuing opinion letters again after nearly a decade of silence. While the legislature makes laws, the consequences of presidential elections flow into the executive agencies charged with administering and enforcing the laws.

Take the time to join other businessmen and women in Highland as they delve into the book,  The ONE Thing:  The Surprisingly Simple Truth Behind Extraordinary Results, by Gary Keller with Jay Papasan.

Highland Chamber of Commerce hosts “Get Found on Google Search and Maps”

January 2, 2019 – Highland, IL: The Highland Chamber of Commerce is teaming up with Google to help small businesses get online and grow. The “Get Found on Google Search and Maps” workshop will guide attendees through “Google My Business”, a free tool for local businesses who want to connect with customers on Google Search and Maps. Attendees will receive hands-on help creating or updating their listing, as well as be able to take advantage of a free website.
 
Attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop as there will be time to work on their listings.

January 8, 2019– Area residents can now earn 4.05% Annual Percentage Yield on their checking account balance up to $25,000 thanks to the new EPIC Checking Account launched recently by Scott Credit Union.
