Highland Community School Dist. 5 Holds Kindergarten Registration
Phone registration for the 2019-2020 school year will be from February 25 - March 1. Boys and girls who will be five years of age on or before September 1, 2019, are eligible to attend kindergarten this fall.
Registration may be handled by calling the Highland Primary Office at 654-2107 ext. 3 from 9:00 am - 3:30 pm during that week. Please make sure to preregister your child so they are able to attend Kindergarten Visitation Day on Friday, May 3, 2019.
HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Highland Installs new Auxiliary Officers
The HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary recently installed new officers for 2019. Those installed for the 2019-2020 term are Roma Wyatt, president; Carol Iskrzycki, vice-president; Rosalie Ashbacher, secretary; Pat Stern, treasurer; and Jeanette Long and Marilyn Wick, members-at-large.
The Auxiliary was founded in 1968 by a group of women who wanted to help patients of St. Joseph’s Hospital in Highland. Throughout their 50 years of service, the Auxiliary has become established as a team and has dedicated thousands of service hours to the hospital, the administration and their patients. The men and women of the HSHS St Joseph’s Auxiliary have recorded over 500,000 volunteer hours over 50 years, sharing in the hospital’s Mission.

Unique Resort-Style Living Development Opening in Edwardsville Next Year
New Development will be called Trace on the Parkway
Local developer, Plocher Construction Co. Inc., is giving new details about plans for the $50 million mixed-use development located at the intersection of Governors Parkway and Illinois Route 157 in Edwardsville.
The project, which has previously been referred to as the Edwardsville Town Center, will be called The Parkway and will offer residents unique recreational and living options, unlike any other development in the area. The residential side of the development will be called Trace on the Parkway and will consist of 184 luxury apartment units and will be a mix of one, two and three -bedroom units.

Amy Liefer named Director of Business Development for HSHS Southern Illinois Hospitals
HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Breese, HSHS Holy Family Hospital in Greenville and HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Highland are pleased to announce that Amy Leifer has accepted the position of director of business development for all three HSHS Southern Illinois Division hospitals.

HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Highland will host their spring health fair Tuesday, April 23, from 5:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Highland Hope Church, located at 12846 Daiber Road, Highland, IL. Pre-registration for an appointment will only take place in person, in the main lobby of the Hospital and on the dates listed below. Walk-in appointments are available from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. for those who do not pre-register.
