           Don't just copy and paste another company's values--people won't respond to it.  

Don't worry about the size or age of your company--your values aren't set in stone for eternity, and you're free to change them as your company grows. The trick is figuring out the right values for your team at it stands.

I understand the urge to put it off because I've been in that exact position. But I can also tell you I really wish we'd chosen our company values earlier, for several reasons:

  • Values ground everyone in the same strategies and goals.
  • They shape your team's behavior when it comes to accomplishing those goals.

Ribbon Cutting and Open House


Renew Functional Medicine & Anti-Aging held an open house and had their ribbon cutting on Thursday, April 25 from 4:30 - 7:00 pm.  Those who attended were able to get a tour of the facilities, hear about the many treatments provided, and taste some healthy food creations by Ruck Sack Meals.

HSHS Southern Illinois Division Hospitals showcase at State Capitol Quality Improvement Initiatives that Advance Care and Reduce Costs

A number of quality improvement initiatives undertaken by HSHS Southern Illinois Division hospitals were on display in the State Capitol on April 3 as part of the Illinois Health and Hospital Association's (IHA) Quality Advocacy Showcase. The HSHS Southern Illinois Division includes HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon, HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham, HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Breese, HSHS Holy Family Hospital in Greenville and HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Highland. These hospitals’ leaders met with legislators to share how their initiatives have benefited patients, families and communities while reducing health care costs.  continue reading

Local HSHS Hospitals in Breese, Greenville & Highland offer Diabetes Wellness Workshops

(Breese, Greenville, Highland, IL)  – HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospitals in Breese and Highland and HSHS Holy Family in Greenville are hosting three upcoming interactive Diabetes Wellness Workshop series. Each four-week series will begin at 2 p.m. Room location details will be provided upon registration.  
 
Diabetes nurse educator, Megan Stanley, will offer tips to living better with diabetes. Each of the free workshops will explore topics on managing diabetes, healthy eating, monitoring blood glucose and continuing your journey with diabetes.

Highland Music School

Summer Opportunities Offered 

Highland Music School will be offering a Musical Theater Camp on July 15 - 19 from 9:00am - noon.  Youth ages 8 - 14 will be able to learn: vocal technique, stage dance, monologues, and how to audition.  Make sure you register before the deadline on June 15th, by using this registration form.

Now is also the time to get your private lessons scheduled.  They are currently accepting new students until their schedules are full.  Please call 618-791-3992 to arrange for your lessons today!
