Calendar Submissions
Get Your Submissions In
As a Chamber member, we want to make sure we help you promote your events in our community calendar. In order to do this, however, we need to know all of the details for your event, especially the date. The calendar allows you to enter your information onto the website, and we are able to then activate your event.
This feature is fairly new in it's ease of access, and is slowly being used as a tool in helping to plan events for Chamber members. If you are looking at dates for an upcoming event, please email penny@highlandillinois.com with the date(s) you are considering. We have the ability to check last year to see if there was an event in the past, and then get your event on the calendar.
We have also added the Highland Weekender to our list of publications. This goes out to give people an idea of what events are taking place in the community each weekend, with a preview of the next weekend as well. Please help us give the community ALL the choices they have available from our members!
Job Listings
Please check the Chamber's website for the current job opportunities in and around Highland with our members. We have new listings posted each week.

Five Ways Salespeople Can Contribute To A Great Customer Experience
by Shep Hyken
Customers love to hate your salespeople.
Every year, Gallup measures the American public’s views regarding the honesty and ethical standards of a variety of professions. In the most recent survey, only members of Congress ranked lower than salespeople.
The stereotype of the salesperson who talks too much, never listens, and pushes hard for a sale even when the customer isn’t interested exists for a good reason. But a growing number now understand that their job is to ascertain the customer’s needs and then demonstrate the value of their product or service in filling those needs.
