Get Your Dates In The Chamber Calendar One of the many advantages to being a Chamber member is getting your events posted on the Chamber's Online Calendar. We have many non-profit members, churches, schools, and businesses that host wonderful events throughout the year and want to make sure that the community is aware of these great opportunities. As you are planning your events, be sure to plan on posting your event on our Calendar & Events Page. If you scroll down the page, you will see a Submit Your Event button, which will take you to the page explaining how this process works. Click the button again, and you will be able to enter your event information. Your event will be pending until our review. Get The Most From Your Membership Are you utilizing all the features offered from the back office? Is your TCS page set up? Did you know that you can see how many people look at your directory listing? Did you know you could offer special discounts to other Chamber members? Cheers to 2020, Bill The Olde Wicks Factory New Year's Eve Fun-raiser! Join us for our first event, a Roaring 20s NYE party on December 31st, 2019. This is a Fun-raiser for the 1920’s Wicks Theater Organ that was donated by a family from Texas. As you can imagine with all of the other “fixer upper” projects that we have on our to do list, taking on this project is just not feasible on our own, and that’s where you can help. HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital HSHS Southern Illinois Division Hospitals Adjust Visiting Guidelines During Flu Season HSHS Hospitals in O’Fallon, Effingham, Breese, Greenville and Highland Guarding Patient Safety (O’FALLON, EFFINGHAM, BREESE, GREENVILLE, HIGHLAND, IL) – With flu activity now classified as regional in our area of Illinois, visitors to the hospitals in the HSHS Southern Illinois Division are reminded of the important role everyone plays in guarding patient safety. The HSHS Southern Illinois Division Hospitals include: HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese HSHS Holy Family Hospital in Greenville HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital in Highland Each of these hospitals are providing respiratory etiquette stations at hospital entrances, which have tissues, masks and sanitizing hand gel for visitors. During flu season, the HSHS Southern Illinois Division hospitals highly recommend the following visiting guidelines: DO NOT visit hospital patients if you: Have a cold or any flu-like symptoms including fever or chills, sore throat, body or muscle aches, headache, cough or runny nose. Are under age 18 years of age. A limit of only two people should visit a patient at any one time. As always, soap and hand sanitizers should be used when entering and leaving a patient’s room. For more information about the flu, visit flu.gov. It is not too late to get a flu shot. Check with your local physician’s office.
