Governor Announces Back to Business Grant Program

Today, Governor Pritzker announced a $250 million Back to Business (B2B) grant program to support small businesses across Illinois that were negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. The B2B grant program is meant to build off last year's Business Interruption Grant (BIG) program and will offer small businesses access to funds that can help offset losses due to COVID-19, bring back workers and rebuild amid the tumultuous pandemic. These funds are in grant form, not loans, and recipients of the grants that will range from $5,000 to $150,000 will not have to pay back these funds.

It should be noted that the B2B grants program is limited to businesses with revenues of $20 million or less in 2019 and priority will be given to businesses that did not previously receive COVID-19 related state funding or federal assistance through programs such as the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) or Business Interruption Grant (BIG) program.

Bradford National Bank Recognized for Exceptional Community Service

Bradford National Bank, with locations in Greenville, Highland, and Marine, was honored for their exceptional community service with one of the 2021 Illinois Bank Community Service Awards. The awards were presented by the Illinois Bankers Association (IBA) during the IBA’s virtual Annual Conference on August 12. This is the 19th year for the Community Service awards, which honor Illinois financial institutions that demonstrate a high level of service in their communities.

Bradford National Bank was recognized for its response to the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic for providing resources and support services to businesses and organizations that faced numerous financial challenges during the lockdown.  The bank gave away over 300 gift cards to area restaurants, dairies, and coffee houses, and purchased Girl Scout cookies and donated them to area emergency service personnel.  Additionally, in partnership with the Federal Home Loan Bank, Bradford National Bank awarded $50,000 in cash grants to local service organizations over and above their normal annual giving.
