Help the Chamber of Commerce fill the Event Calendar on our website.  It's easy to do and helps get the word out about what you have going on at your business, club or group!  Highland has so many exciting things going on and adding your event helps spread the word!
To enter your event:
Go to highlandillinois.com, then click the Calendars and Events page and look for the submit your event button below the calendar.  Once it is entered, it is sent to me for approval, I approve it and it is entered to the events page.  Photos/flyers can also be uploaded.  Let me know if you have any questions.

Highland Country Club 
is looking for a motivated person who currently has experience or is wanting to learn to cook in a restaurant setting. Needing someone to help our current cook on busy league nights and to take the initiative to cook on the weekends. Knowledge of restaurant workings & food service would be beneficial. A great opportunity for someone just starting in the food service industry, or for an experienced cook that can work/cook alone right away. 1) Sign in with the log in and password you set up when you joined the Chamber or when we transitioned to the new website. 
2) Click on Resources  

3)  Choose Submit Job Board  - enter your job information

When you complete your entry, it will be pending until approved by the Admin(Hillarie).  These are checked weekly for approval.

City of Highland invites Businesses to Interactive Map

State and Federal Grant Opportunities Available


We are happy to give you the latest update on B2B awards, totaling $171 million. This means that there is nearly $79 million left to go. Our partners at Allies for Community Business are working hard to carefully review applications and get relief to businesses in need.

State Grants
Route 66 Grant Program (CLOSING SOON!)
What: This grant is for the development of tourism, education, preservation, and promotion of the 100th Anniversary of Route 66. This grant will help develop or enhance sites along Route 66, while prioritizing projects focused on future transportation and tourism trends such as electric vehicles. Eligible projects also include plans to enhance existing attractions,  develop new attractions, and improve wayfinding for travelers.
Potential Applicants: Certified convention and visitors bureaus.
How Much: $4 million total.
Deadline:  March 7th, 2022

HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital "Cram the Car" is a success!


HSHS Home Care Illinois expresses its thanks to community members and colleagues at HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Highland who generously donated non-perishable food items during their February food drive. Shown with the items collected during the drive are Jeannie Korte, director of mission for HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital, and Valerie Engelbart, volunteer/bereavement coordinator for HSHS Hospice Illinois. These items were donated to the Highland Area Christian Service Ministry food pantry to help those struggling with food insecurity.

HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Highland Updates Visitor Guidelines:
Two Visitors Per Patient now allowed
 
HIGHLANDEffective today, Wednesday, March 2, 2022, HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Highland will allow two visitors per patient.
All visitors must continue to follow hospital-specific processes for entry into the facility. All visitors must have their temperature checked and be screened for COVID-19 symptoms and exposure. In addition, medical grade masks (non-cloth) are mandatory in all health care facilities, per CDC guidelines. Visitors must be age 18 or older, unless they are parents of a child receiving care.
 
No visitors are allowed for patients under investigation for possible COVID-19 diagnosis and those confirmed positive for COVID-19.
 
These guidelines apply to all areas:
  • Emergency department
  • Inpatient units – Medical/Surgical
  • Surgery – Inpatient and Outpatient
  • Outpatient diagnostic and therapy services
 
Visiting hours remain as 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week.
These guidelines are subject to change at any time to address the health needs of our communities. By putting these guidelines in place, St. Joseph’s Hospital is exemplifying its commitment to the dignity and care of all, especially the most vulnerable among us.
