The holidays are quickly approaching and the Highland Chamber of Commerce office is gearing up for another successful retail season with our Gift Certificate Program.  For an annual fee of $40, your company can participate as a place for the certificates to be redeemed.  There are currently over 60 participating businesses at this time, with a very diverse list of categories!  From Accounting  (Scheffel Boyle) to Travel Agencies (Travel One), there is something for everyone on the list!  For a full list of participating businesses, click HERE!  Many of our businesses, schools, organizations, city offices etc., use the Gift Certificates for awards, prizes, gifts etc., keeping the money local and boosting the Highland economy!  For more information on the program, see our website or click the image below!

Whoooo is ready to meet The Owl Guy, Mark Glenshaw?  Mark will be presenting "Forest Park Owls: Hiding In Plain Sight" on Wednesday, December 14, at 6:30 p.m. in the Latzer Library Auditorium.  This program covers how Mark found these owls, basic facts about the species, and many photos and videos shot by Mark will be shared to illustrate the amazing behaviors of these beautiful owls.  This program is designed for people of all ages.  
 

LEGO CLUB IS BACK AND IN FULL SWING!
     Tuesdays at 6 p.m. is Lego Club!  So many Legos! So many kids!  So many great ideas!  We are here to build friendships and creations galore!!!!  Stop in and build for a little while or build for hours.  It is all up to you!!!!  Every Tuesday at 6 p.m.!

 Heartland Community Chorus invites Highland Area residents to Celebrate Christmas Joy! with us at our annual Christmas concert on Saturday, December 10^th at 7:30 pm and Sunday, December 11^th at 3:00 pm.  Both concerts will be held at St. Paul Catholic Church in Highland, IL.  Ticket prices are $15 and may be purchased at FCB Banks, Highland, from a Chorus member, or online at www.heartlandcommunitychorus.org.  Children 16 and under are free.   
          The concert will feature new and old Christmas music with a brass ensemble, percussion, and woodwinds.  It’s a perfect way to start your Christmas festivities. 
 

In the spirit of giving this holiday season, Lou Fusz Ford of Highland will be collecting money and/or nonperishable food item donations for our local Highland Food Pantry, HACSM to help those less fortunate. Donations may be dropped off during business hours at Lou Fusz Ford of Highland between Nov 24^th - Dec 16th and a
truck will be on hand to store donations.
We appreciate you and wish you a Happy Holiday Season!

Sponsorship Opportunities for Area Businesses
St. Paul Catholic School is currently seeking businesses interested in sponsoring live auction items at Viking Night.  This fundraiser at the KC Hall in Highland typically brings in about 400 people, and sponsors receive advertising in school and church publications, reaching over 1,000 homes.  Viking Night is St. Paul School’s largest fundraiser, providing much needed equipment and updated curriculum.
