Louis Latzer Library Hosts Events

 
 


STEAMY Thursdays are 1:00-1:45 p.m. and are designed for school age children. (We will be exploring science, technology, engineering, art, and math throughout the summer.)  

Friday, June 16, 2023:  Fitness Friday with Mr. Kurrle 10:00 a.m.
Hit a homerun with Mr. Kurrle and learn the basics of this exciting sport of baseball.

Monday and Tuesday, June 19-20:  Preschool Storytime at 10 a.m. with Miss Josie
(The Monday and Tuesday Storytime are the same stories and activity.for both days.)  Miss Josie has a cool craft just right for preschoolers and absolutely the best stories to go with the activity!
 
Tuesday, June 20:  1 p.m. Barb Kay, former H.H.S. history teacher, will be portraying Amelia Earhart in the Latzer Auditorium.  This program is for EVERYONE, young and old, including former students.  
 
Tuesday, June 20:  6 p.m. Lego Club  Come build and discover with us!
 
Wednesday, June 21 NEW PROGRAM at 10 a.m.  Birth-Age 3 Storytime
Josie Carman, Parent Educator for Highland Community Schools, is offering a Birth through Age 3 Storytime and Activity Session designed especially for the very young.  Please come meet Josie Carman and enjoy a special time with your little ones!
 
Wednesday, June 21 at 1 p.m. The St. Louis Aquarium is visiting Latzer Library for the very first time and presenting an outstanding program for children!  Yes, the St. Louis Aquarium is coming to us right here in Highland!  All aboard for a splashing good time!!!!
 
Wednesday, June 21 at 6 p.m.  Dungeons and Dragons  One group is for beginners while the other group is for those that have some experience with D and D.  This is open to kids and adults, ages 4-99!
 
Thursday, June 22 at 1 p.m.  "Steamy" Thursday:  Hands on science experiments with Miss Donna.  New experiences await!
 
Thursday, June 22 at 6 p.m. NEW NEW NEW!  This Summer Drum Circle with Jan Cryder Newman will provide an opportunity for you to find your inner voice.  We will be using our new drums in this unique experience.  This program is designed for ages 10-adult.  
 
Friday, June 23 at 10 a.m.  Fitness Friday with Mr. Warnecke and the Battling Bulldogs Highland Football team.  Meet inside Latzer Library.  If you want to learn about football and learn some pointers to play this fabulous game, this is perfect for you!  Designed for kids of all ages.

Attached are the schedules for April.  All classes will be 7-week series and each series is $48.  Note that when you sign up for the series, that means you attend that same class every week.
If you would like some flexibility in when you attend classes, you should choose  the 8-class or 10-class passes.  These are 2-month class passes and you pick and choose which classes you attend during that 2-month time period....or until you use all the credits. 
 
Use the momoyoga link below to book your classes.  Reach out if you have any questions.  Payments can be through PayPal on the booking website, or you can option to pay in studio (using cash, check, credit card) or you can use Venmo.

Submit Your Own Job Listing - If you would like your company's open positions listed on the Chamber website, you can do so by entering them from your member home page. 
1) Sign in with the log in and password you set up when you joined the Chamber or when we transitioned to the new website. If you need the info resent or have questions, just let us know, we are HAPPY to help!
2) Click on Resources  
3)  Choose Submit Job Board  - enter your job information
When you complete your entry, it will be pending until approved by the Admin(Hillarie).  These are checked weekly for approval.
