Highland Parks and Rec Department celebrates being a recipient of the $45,000 T-Mobile Hometown Grant Program. Funding will go toward a new playground for Silver Lake Park!

Registration Now Open for Fall 2023 Health Fair
Hosted by HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Highland

All registration will be done through MyHSHS online medical record portal
HIGHLAND— HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Highland will host a health fair Wednesday, Nov. 1 from 6 to 10:30 a.m. at the hospital, 12866 Troxler Ave., Highland, Illinois. Enter through the hospital’s medical office building, located west of the main entrance. Parking is available in the main lot.
Please wear short-sleeved shirts and coats that are easily removed to make the process easier.

Burcham Elected Chairwoman of Community Bankers Association


Sheila Burcham, market president of Bradford National Bank in Irvington, was elected chairwoman of the Community Bankers Association of Illinois (CBAI) at the association’s annual convention held recently in Indianapolis, IN.  Burcham serves on the CBAI Board of Directors and Strategic Planning Committee. She also assists CBAI’s first vice chairman and the second vice chairman in conducting the association’s affairs.
 
Burcham received her Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. She is a graduate of the Bankers School in Champaign, IL, and the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She has served on the Community BancInsurance Services, Community BancService Corporation (both for-profit subsidiaries of CBAI), the Faster Payments Committee of the CBAI and many others throughout her career.

Anderson Hospital Recognizes Remarkable Service of Board Member with over 55 Years of Volunteer Service
 
Anderson Hospital is proud to honor and celebrate the extraordinary leadership, dedication and selfless service of Anderson Hospital Board Member, Frank Flanigan,  who has volunteered tirelessly for an incredible 55 years.   In recognition of this milestone, Flanigan was honored with a plaque dedication and reception at Anderson Hospital on Tuesday, September 26, 2003.
 
"Today, we gather to express our deepest gratitude and admiration for Frank’s exceptional service to Anderson Hospital,” said Keith A. Page, Anderson Healthcare President and CEO.   "Over the course of five and a half decades, he has played an integral role in shaping the hospital's success and growth, embodying the spirit of volunteerism and community service.”

Highland family entertainment businesses join forces for “Fun Crawl” promotion!
Get ready for some fun in Highland this fall! Owners of The Game Yard, Bailout Escape Rooms, The Lory Theater, and Mac’s Family Fun Time have come together to
offer a very special promotion called The Highland FUN CRAWL!
Customers can visit each company and receive an entry card. Make a minimum purchase of $25 at each company to receive a stamp on your card. Once all four are stamped, leave it with any of the four locations by Nov 25th. A drawing will be held on Nov 30th 2023 for prizes including a grand prize of a YETTI Cooler filled with company merch and goodies,

ChiroPro Highland Hosts Family Fall Fest

LOL Special Event Fundraisers




You're invited to celebrate American Legion Baseball!


To: American Legion Baseball Fans, Past Players, Coaches,
Family Members and Veteran Supporters
 

Please join us Saturday night October 7, 2023, to celebrate Lee Iten American Legion Post 439 and nearly 60 years of American Legion Baseball. This evening will include stories of past professionals, coaches, college athletes and state champions.
The festivities will take place at Michael's Restaurant starting at 5:30 PM.

Join us in an evening of celebration and recognition of the "73" and "74" Highland Legion teams for their accomplishments along with some of the players
 from Post 439's Junior and Senior teams of 2023. Both teams finished

over 500 with two players being selected from the Senior team to play in an All- Star game held after the Cardinal baseball game this past August 6th.
 Also recognized will be the individual that started Highland’s amateur baseball
program in 1965, Wayne Wirz.

There will be a buffet style meal, appetizers, music, and fun for all that attend.
The Master of Ceremonies Steve Porter will be present to guide us 
through the evening’s event. Surprises, some attendance gifts and raffles
will be held during the evening.
 All proceeds benefit Highland Legion Baseball and Post 439.

Tickets for this event are $25.00 and can be purchased at the door. If there are any questions you may call me at (618)401-0761 or Sue Micheal at (618)792-1417. It will also be helpful to leave me a text or voice mail with your name, number attending, phone number and address.

Duties include: answering phones, helping walk-in customers, tracking hours/materials on jobs, billing, keeping track of stock, etc.
