Highland Parks and Rec Department celebrates being a recipient of the $45,000 T-Mobile Hometown Grant Program. Funding will go toward a new playground for Silver Lake Park!

HSHS St. Joseph's Upcoming Events

PRESS RELEASE
HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary Selling Bundt Cakes to Support Scholarship Fund

HIGHLAND, Ill. — On Wednesday, Oct. 18, the Auxiliary of HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Highland is hosting a Nothing Bundt Cakes sale in the Medical Office Building lobby from 9 a.m. until all Bundt cakes are sold.
Bundt cakes are $6 each, and cash or credit/debit cards are accepted. Proceeds from the sales will benefit the Auxiliary’s scholarship fund.

HIGHLAND, Ill. — HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Highland’s Auxiliary is hosting a Used Book Sale Thursday and Friday, Oct. 26-27 in the Ungacta Conference Center located at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Highland at 12866 Troxler Avenue. There will be no Saturday sale as in the past.
 The times for each day’s sale are:
Thursday, Oct. 26 – 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 27 – 9 a.m. to Noon
Reopening Friday, Oct. 27 – 12:30 to 3 p.m.

Bradford National Bank News Release

Burcham Elected Chairwoman of Community Bankers Association


Sheila Burcham, market president of Bradford National Bank in Irvington, was elected chairwoman of the Community Bankers Association of Illinois (CBAI) at the association’s annual convention held recently in Indianapolis, IN.  Burcham serves on the CBAI Board of Directors and Strategic Planning Committee. She also assists CBAI’s first vice chairman and the second vice chairman in conducting the association’s affairs.
 
Burcham received her Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. She is a graduate of the Bankers School in Champaign, IL, and the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She has served on the Community BancInsurance Services, Community BancService Corporation (both for-profit subsidiaries of CBAI), the Faster Payments Committee of the CBAI and many others throughout her career.

Louis Latzer Memorial Library Event Schedule



PRESCHOOL STORYTIME WITH MISS JOSIE is so much fun for kids, ages 1-5!  Miss Josie reads stories and does a cool craft each Monday and Tuesday at 10 a.m.!!!! (The Monday and Tuesday Story Time are alike each week to help meet the needs of parents and their different schedules.)  Please join us at Latzer Library for this event.
 
LEGO CLUB.....Come build with us!  All ages welcome. Imagine great creations and build for as long or as little of a time as you desire.  We start at 6 p.m. every Tuesday.
 
FAMILY GAME AND PUZZLE NIGHT is at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11!  We are pulling out our board games and some puzzles.  Fresh, hot popcorn will be served.  Relax as a family and enjoy some time together.

We have a Signs of Fall Family Storytime at 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 12, 2023.
We will be doing an outdoor scavenger hunt, leaf painting, fall snacks, and of course, stories!

 
2nd Annual Fall Festival is on Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m.!  All ages are welcome with adult participation encouraged.  We will be wrapping caramel apples, making fall soaps and bath bombs, and enjoying some fall stories while creating other kid friendly crafts throughout the day.  "Fall in" for  some good clean fun!
 
POP UP STORYTIME @ Hoffman Park.....Monday, October 16, at 6 p.m......Korte Rec Center and Latzer Library are partnering together for this special event!  Hoffman Park is located at 929 2nd Street near FCB Bank.  Stories, activities, and snacks will be provided.

*Preparing and serving coffee and espresso-based beverages
