ONE on WON
We are excited to kick off our ONE on WON program! This program was created to culminate relationships with other like-minded businesspeople or members from groups or organizations that may find it difficult or intimidating in a group setting. Jeff Weinacht from Pulse Personal Training will be collecting a list of business professionals who are interested in getting together one on one to meet and get to know each other on a personal and professional level. The idea behind the meetings is not to “sell” each other’s products or services, but simply to network in an atmosphere that allows for conversations with minimal distractions, as well as an opportunity to get to know one another.  The Highland Community is growing quickly and has a wide range of new businesses that have opened in the last year. This is a great opportunity to build relationships with people who can share experiences and work together as opportunities arise!  While the Highland Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours is our greatest opportunity to network on a regular basis, ONE on WON is a way for individuals to network in a more intimate setting and build meaningful, professional relationships!

PRESCHOOL STORYTIME WITH MISS JOSIE is so much fun for kids, ages 1-5!  Miss Josie reads stories and does a cool craft each Monday and Tuesday at 10 a.m.!!!! (The Monday and Tuesday Story Time are alike each week to help meet the needs of parents and their different schedules.)  Please join us at Latzer Library for this event.
 
LEGO CLUB.....Come build with us!  All ages welcome. Imagine great creations and build for as long or as little of a time as you desire.  We start at 6 p.m. every Tuesday.

Bobby Norfolk, Emmy Award winning storyteller, will be at Latzer Library to celebrate Illlinois Family Reading Night!!!  This is a huge event for children in our area with such a prestigious internationally known individual.  Mark this date on your calendar to support Illinois Family Reading Night, a time for families to spend quality time embracing the love of reading.
 
Wednesday, Nov. 22 (6 p.m.) Let's "Dough" It!
Our Thanksgiving activity for families this year is making a "loaf of bread in a bag"!  Everything will be provided for each child to make a loaf, but you will need to bake this bread when you arrive home in your own oven (375 degrees for 25-30 minutes.)  Oh come on, let's "dough" it!
