EVUCC GriefShare Program

PRESS RELEASE

GriefShare Program - A Path to Healing Offered at Evangelical United Church of Christ

We extend a warm invitation to community members who have experienced the loss of a loved one to join our GriefShare program at the Evangelical United Church of Christ.

This ecumenical program offers a Christ-centered, biblically grounded approach to navigating the complex journey of grief. Our seminars feature insights from nationally recognized grief experts and testimonials from individuals who have walked this path,
followed by intimate group discussions.

It’s often the case that the true work of healing begins when our loved ones return to their daily routines. Our past participants have found great value in the information shared and the discussions that follow. Whether your loss is recent or occurred some time ago, you will find solace, support, and practical help in grieving the death of a spouse, child, parent, sibling, other family member, or friend. Regardless of the circumstances of your loved one’s passing, this program offers a safe space to connect with others who truly understand your feelings. You will learn to identify signs of unresolved grief and discover that you need not be held captive by certain emotions. You will gain valuable insights on adjusting to your new reality and restoring hope for the future. We also provide grief-related books and materials for participants.

GriefShare Fall Session Commences September 9th

We are pleased to announce that the GriefShare program will resume at EvUCC starting
Monday, September 9, from 6-8pm.
The group will convene weekly at the Parsonage located at 2520 Poplar Street. This 13-week session includes an additional meeting in November titled “Surviving the Holidays”.
To register, please contact the church office at 654-7459.. We kindly request a $10 registration fee, if possible, to offset the cost of workbooks. We look forward to welcoming you.

Stewards of Hope Needs Your Help!

Stewards of Hope International of Highland
needs your help in finding a new home!
The group is needing to move
out of their current location and is looking for something in the Highland area that would fit their needs for storing, packaging and shipping items donated to them.
The ideal location would have the following:
 Minimum of 600ft
Exterior door at least 6ft wide
Overhead door with an 8ft clearance
 Temperature controlled for food storage
  24/7 Access

Capability to back up a truck to the access door to load and
unload the boxes we send.

Optimally, the space would have access to a platform for loading pallets onto a commercial truck for shipment to FL
(helpful but not a deal breaker)
If you or someone you know may be able to accommodate the Stewards of Hope of Highland, please contact Michele Korte Capelle at mcapelle@stewardsofhope.org or 618-304-9940
