Color the Mucc
Debbie Stone The 5th annual "Color the mucc" fun run will take place on Saturday, April 28th.
The 3k/5k run/walk will kick off at 10:00 a.m.at the Winnemucca Community Garden and make its way to the finish line at Vesco City Park.
The event, which is sponsored by the Humboldt County Chamber of Commerce and Humboldt General Hospital has no winners and no official times, instead the "Color the Mucc" will simply celebrate wellness, happiness and individuality as hundreds of participants are doused from head to toe in different colors at each kilometer.
Participants are encouraged to wear white to take advantage of the colorful effect. Sunglasses or goggles are recommended.
Pre-register at the Chamber office located at 30. W. Winnemucca Blvd, or download the form from the Chamber Website - humboldtcountychamber.com, or contact the chamber office at 623-2225.
Cost is $25 for adults; $15 for kids ages 6-12; $7 for kids aged 0-6 (if they want a T-Shirt); $20 for team members of 5 or more. Special family group pricing: $50 for mom, dad and kids. No pets please.
We invite the community to come and participate i the just-for-fun race, "says Humboldt County Chamber of Commerce President, Doris Phillips. "We are excited to continue on with such a fun event which encourages fun and fitness for our community family, as well contributing proceeds to a Lowry High School Scholarship for a student continuing their education in Business.
