About Us

The Jefferson County Farm Bureau is a 501(c)5 non-profit organization based in Mt. Vernon, IL. We are dedicated to promoting agriculture and enriching the quality of farm family life in Jefferson County. We offer informational programs for farmers and the public, legislative support for rural and agricultural issues, educational support for students through our Foundation scholarships and Ag in the Classroom program, volunteer opportunities, and tangible discount programs for our members. 

The Jefferson County Farm Bureau is affiliated with the Illinois Farm Bureau.  Illinois Farm Bureau is a member of the American Farm Bureau Federation, a national organization of farmers and ranchers including Farm Bureaus in all 50 states and Puerto Rico, and is responsible for Farm Bureau membership and programs within Illinois.
