About Tri-County Water
The History of Tri-County Water
Tri-County Water was founded by Darwin Watts in 1966 in Leslie, MI. The company originally served people primarily in Jackson, Ingham, and Eaton counties. Then, in the early 1990s, Darwin Watts decided to turn over the business to his son, Jeff, and the business grew from there.
In 1979, Jerry Anderson launched Tri-County Water in Kendallville, IN. After visiting with the Watts family and seeing the operation in southern Michigan, Jerry desired to create a similar company to help improve the quality of water for families in Northeastern Indiana.
In 2022, the two Tri-County Water companies merged following Jerry’s retirement.
Today, the company is still owned and operated by the Watts family through the third-generation grandsons, Daniel and David Watts.

We have been helping families in Michigan and Indiana with sales and service of water softeners, reverse osmosis systems, whole home filtration systems, and customized treatment solutions since 1966. Our products are American-made, and we’re looking forward to serving you, too. On top of offering installation, maintenance, and repair services, we can also help with changing and replacing existing filters as well as deliver bottled water and softener salt directly to your home or business.
