About Connective Strength
Connective Strength
Connective Strength, based in Kirkland, WA, is committed to empowering and supporting individuals affected by Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) through a multifaceted approach. Our primary objective is to establish a robust support network for local patients, organizing regular group meetings totaling twenty-four to thirty-six annually. Through these gatherings, we cultivate a community where individuals can share experiences, offer mutual support, and access valuable resources. Moreover, Connective Strength prioritizes education by creating and distributing informative handouts aimed at enhancing understanding and management of EDS. We further extend our outreach by offering in-person education classes for healthcare providers, fostering a more knowledgeable and empathetic approach to EDS care. Additionally, our commitment to awareness is demonstrated through hosting events open to patients, healthcare providers, and the general public, promoting broader understanding and community engagement.
As the title sponsor of Connective Strength, Hands for Living in Lynnwood and Redmond plays a pivotal role in our mission. Their specialized care and dedication to improving the quality of life for individuals with EDS greatly complement our efforts. Serving Ehlers-Danlos patients since 2019, Connective Strength has been steadfast in its provision of education, awareness, and advocacy. As a registered 501(c)3 organization, we remain committed to our vision of fostering a supportive community and enhancing the lives of those affected by EDS in Kirkland and beyond.
