About Adair County Public Library
The Adair County Public Library will encourage reading and lifelong learning by providing recreational, educational, informational and cultural opportunities to the residents of Adair County.
The first Adair County Public Library Board was appointed by Jack Shelton, Presiding Judge of the Adair County Court on September 12, 1984. A county library was not yet established.
The Library is funded by a tax levy of 15 cents per $100 property evaluation passed by the voters in April of 1986.
